Help Build a Safe Harbor for Survivors of Trauma
Peer-led support for dissociative recovery

Be Part of Building the First Peer-Led Respite for Dissociative Survivors
Our Story (from Jade Miller, founder):
Safe Harbor Peer Respite Center is a vision born from personal experience and decades of professional dedication to supporting survivors of trauma and dissociative experiences. My journey as a writer, coach, and advocate has been deeply informed by lived experience and extensive study in trauma-informed care. I am the author of multiple books and work closely with individuals and professionals to provide education, tools, and support that honor complex mental health needs.
Safe Harbor will be a unique, hybrid peer-led residential program offering a safe and structured space specifically for individuals experiencing dissociation. Unlike traditional residential programs, Safe Harbor prioritizes peer support, community, and trauma-informed practices, providing 24/7 access to supportive staff, structured activities, and therapeutic programming in a nurturing environment. Our goal is to create a healing community where residents can regain stability, learn coping skills, and feel truly seen and understood.
We aim to serve individuals who often fall through the cracks of traditional mental health services, offering a place to pause, heal, and rebuild in safety. With your support, Safe Harbor can become a reality—a place where trauma survivors are empowered, respected, and given the tools and community they need to thrive.
Our foundational need with this campaign is a home with capacity for 8-10 clients to start with. We are asking for donations to help secure the funding for a building of this size, along with any required renovations to bring the building into ADA compliance so Safe Harbor is accessible to all.
Safe Harbor Peer Respite Center is a project of Into Account, fiscal sponsor.
